Melt flow rate meter

Features and uses:

The melt flow rate meter is used to determine the melt flow rate of various polymers in the viscous flow state. Under a certain temperature and load, the melt passes the mass or volume of the standard die every 10 minutes, using MFR or MVR. It is applicable to engineering plastics such as polycarbonate, polyarylsulfone, fluoroplastic, nylon, etc. with higher melting temperature, and also suitable for melting temperature of polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, ABS resin, polyacetal resin, etc. The lower plastic testing is widely used in plastics production, plastic products, petrochemical industries and related institutions, research institutes and commodity inspection departments.

Test method:

GB/T 3682 "Determination of thermoplastic melt mass flow rate and melt volume flow rate"

ISO 1133  plastics—determination of the melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and melt volumn-flow rate(MVR) of thermoplastics—part 2:method for materials sensitive to time-temperature history and/or moisture
