1. Introductions

The electric friction fading test machine is mainly used to test the degree of decolorization of dyed fabrics and leather after friction. There are two types of friction methods: dry friction and wet friction. During testing, wrap dry or wet cotton cloth on a friction hammer and then press it onto a fabric or leather sample for reciprocating friction. After rubbing a certain number of times, place the sample in a standard light source box and compare the degree of decolorization of the sample with a color chart.
