The tensile properties of PP plastic films are tested with a professional electronic tensile testing machine. Before the test, cut the plastic film sample into a standard size according to GB/T1040.3 and ISO527-3 "Testing of Plastic Tensile Properties", hold it firmly with the tensile fixture of the tensile testing machine, and stretch it at a certain speed until the test specimen is fracture. The tensile strength of PP film is expressed as the maximum force at break divided by the cross-sectional area of the plastic film. In addition to testing tensile strength, the electronic tensile testing machine can also test the elongation at break of PP film, that is, the ratio of the increase in the distance between the marking lines to the initial gauge length when the plastic film sample breaks. The elongation at break of PP film can be used to measure the ability of the film to stretch.

When the sample breaks, the testing machine automatically records the maximum breaking force and automatically calculates the tensile strength. The final marking line length d of the sample is measured manually or automatically by a large deformation extensometer, and the elongation at break of the plastic film sample is calculated.
